ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- To support recovery efforts for all those impacted by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma, Red Lobster® will host a dine out to donate event in all of its U.S. restaurants on Monday, September 18th. Red Lobster will donate $1 for every entrée purchased on that day up to $250,000 with funds donated to the American Red Cross hurricane relief efforts.
Guests, team members and the communities in which Red Lobster operates are part of the Red Lobster family. That's why Red Lobster is committed to helping those who felt the impact of these devastating storms in communities where over 100 Red Lobster restaurants are located. In addition to the dine out event, Red Lobster team members in Texas and Florida have prepared food for shelters, first responders, volunteers and churches.
"Our hearts are with all those affected by these terrible storms," said Salli Setta, President of Red Lobster. "I'm incredibly proud to see how these communities have come together to provide genuine caring and relief. But, they need more. I know we can come together across the country to provide even more support."
Red Lobster is also supporting its team members impacted by the storms through its RL Cares Employee Emergency Assistance Fund. Team members voluntarily donate to the fund, which helps cover unexpected expenses in times of need, like hurricane recovery efforts.
