Red Cloud to Deploy 4.5 MW Modular Data Center, Adopts IO Technology as Foundation for Data Center and Global Cloud Computing in Australasia
PHOENIX, Dec. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- IO, the leading provider of next-generation modular data center technology and services, announced today that it has been awarded a multi-module contract with Red Cloud, an Australian-based data center and cloud services provider. This contract commences a strategic venture between IO and Red Cloud, whereby the companies will work together to promote IO Anywhere® in Australasia.

As part of the agreement, IO will provide Red Cloud with IO Anywhere power and data modules and the IO OS®, the industry's first integrated and secure data center operating system to centrally manage and optimize Red Cloud's modular data center infrastructure across Australasia.

Designed, engineered and manufactured by IO, IO Anywhere enables unprecedented speed-to-market with multiple modules to be delivered directly to Red Cloud's sites in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. Red Cloud's Melbourne and Perth locations are expected to be live in the second quarter of 2012 with Sydney following shortly thereafter. Red Cloud's IO Anywhere deployments will be delivered to Tier III standards.
