Red Alert Politics to Honor Young Conservative Leaders

WASHINGTON, July 1, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Red Alert Politics will release its second annual "30 Under 30"  Monday, July 1  with a celebration to follow at LivingSocial's event space in Washington, D.C.  The list recognizes some of the best and brightest young conservatives, libertarians and Republicans under the age of 30 who are making a difference in the political arena.

A recent CNN poll found that President Barack Obama's popularity with young people had dropped 12 points since last November's election to a mere 48 percent, showing an opportunity for the GOP to win the youth vote in the next national election.

This shift in momentum can be attributed in part to the efforts of young Republicans across the country to better educate their peers about the merits of conservatism, Francesca Chambers, Editor of Red Alert Politics, said.  "We need to put these numbers in perspective.
