Recycled Paper Greetings sponsors Rock & Recycle at Lollapalooza 2012
CHICAGO, July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Recycled Paper Greetings puts a fresh spin on the classic card as the sponsor of Lollapalooza's Rock & Recycle program this year at Grant Park in Chicago, August 3-5. Rock & Recycle encourages festival-goers to collect recyclables throughout the park in exchange for prizes and swag.
The four Rock & Recycle centers will be located throughout the Lollapalooza grounds and will be open all three days of the festival. The creative environment of the festival in combination with the commitment to reducing waste was the perfect fit for Recycled Paper Greetings.
"We are thrilled to be sponsoring the Rock & Recycle Program at Lollapalooza this year," said Sue Buchta, president of Papyrus-Recycled Greetings. "This program reinforces our commitment to the environment and sustainable practices in an atmosphere that connects and entertains consumers with unique artistic voices, just like Recycled Paper Greetings."
Lollapalooza has been a staple on the music festival scene since its inception in 1991 as the first large-scale US showcase for alternative music. The Rock & Recycle Program was started in 2005, and nearly 3000 enthusiastic fans participate annually. Last year, nearly 56% of waste was diverted from landfills during show days, and a large portion of this was collected through the Program.
