Recyclebank Names David Eisendrath Chief Operating Officer
NEW YORK, April 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Recyclebank®, the company that rewards people for taking everyday green actions with discounts and deals, today announced that David Eisendrath has been appointed chief operating officer, a new position within the company. Eisendrath, who has served in roles of increasing responsibility at Recyclebank since joining the company in December 2010, will continue to report to CEO Jonathan K. Hsu.
"David has done an exceptional job in growing and innovating our suite of products during the past two years. He delivers incredible results and brings a diverse set of operational expertise and leadership skills we can leverage across Recyclebank," said Hsu. "As we look towards our future as a company and continue to evolve our platform to drive behavior change and influence sustainable choices, David will be a tremendous asset in this new role."
In his new role, Eisendrath will assume responsibility for and lead operations, product, technology, data management, consumer insights and analytics. Additionally, Eisendrath will be responsible for using Recyclebank's rich data set to create a more engaging and personalized member experience. Through a combination of online and offline experiences, he will lead teams responsible for continuing to drive increased recycling and broader sustainable behavior change through a unique combination of awareness, education and incentives.
Prior to this appointment, Eisendrath was responsible for the company's incentive-based recycling program and digital products, in addition to all things data. He also served as the interim head of technology responsible for software development, quality assurance and technical operations. To date, he has led the technology team in significantly enhancing Recyclebank's underlying platform and architecture. This has allowed the company to seamlessly handle growth including expanding its presence to every state in the country in 2012.
"Being a part of Recyclebank's growth over the past few years, specifically around our curbside product, has been a truly rewarding experience," said Eisendrath. "Recyclebank plays an important role in the recycling industry and has pioneered a way to truly affect behavior change at the local level. I look forward to working with the team to take our impact to the next level through innovation and expanding our client base and relationships with key partners and municipalities."
Eisendrath joined Recyclebank from Caesars Entertainment Corporation, where he held a number of different roles, most recently as vice president of corporate marketing where he was responsible for helping to increase the relevance of the Total Rewards loyalty program by developing deeper and richer knowledge of customer behavior. Earlier in his career, he worked in both the financial institutions group and the mergers and acquisitions group at J.P. Morgan. Eisendrath earned his B.B.A. in finance and accounting from University of Wisconsin, Madison, and received his M.S. in hotel administration at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
