WASHINGTON, April 12, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --Chairman Earl E. Devaney of the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, in his Chairman's Column posted on www.recovery.gov, says nearly all recipients of stimulus funds have complied with the law and submitted spending reports to the Recovery Board.

Devaney said the Board will continue to keep up the pressure on the relatively few recipients who ignore their reporting obligations, but by and large, the number of recipients filing spending reports has been a "pleasant surprise."
In his column, Devaney said more than 75,000 prime recipients of Recovery Act funds, including state governments, universities, non-profits and companies, have complied with the law and submitted quarterly reports on their stimulus spending. A recent analysis shows only 366 reports have not been filed, or less than a half percent.
