MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mach 7 Technologies (Mach7), a global provider of enterprise clinical image management solutions, brings its award winning technology and innovation to the mobile market. Through a simple workflow the iModality application enables clinicians to associate any image, video, or note captured on an iPhone or iPad to related patient and procedure attributes. Captured medical imaging data can then be sent directly to an archive or workstation through the Keystone server based on customer-defined rules, and linked to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for later digital reference. (The Keystone iModality application is intended for use to capture medical imaging data for clinical review. Captured medical imaging data is not intended to be used for diagnosis.)
Keystone iModality app is another example of Mach7's continuous creative innovation which was recognized by Frost & Sullivan with the 2012 Global Enterprise Imaging Informatics Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award. The global market research firm believes that Mach 7 Technologies has shown strength in terms of innovation in business processes, leadership in customer value as well as market penetration.
According to Frost & Sullivan, this dedication to product development sets Mach 7 Technologies apart and allows it to adopt a multi-department, enterprise-oriented market approach to the image management market.
Further setting Mach7 apart is a unique value proposition. The company's flagship vendor-neutral archiving platform, Keystone Suite, is not bound to a radiology-centric approach. The innovative technology empowers customers to own, share, and access their imaging data and workflow by providing a final solution to DICOM and non-DICOM interoperability challenges, and enabling users to achieve true enterprise imaging integration.
"Ongoing product development allows Mach 7 Technologies to differentiate itself continually in the marketplace, by taking on a multi-department, enterprise-oriented market approach to the image management challenge," says Frost & Sullivan Principal Analyst Nadim Daher. "This commitment to medical imaging IT integration engages Mach 7 Technologies in working to meet the specific needs and requirements of the various image-producing and image-using clinical departments across the enterprise, including Radiology, Cardiology, Oncology and other specialties."
Frost & Sullivan's report notes that Mach7's approach to image management is perfectly in line with the emerging paradigm that seeks to replace monolithic picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) with a best-of-breed combination of a PACS-neutral, back-end infrastructure with diagnostic and enterprise PACS viewers.
