Pattern Energy Group Inc Analyst Notes
On June 26, 2014, Pattern Energy Group Inc (Pattern Energy) announced that it has acquired AEI's 38.5% net controlling interest in the EL Arrayán Wind Project in Chile, the largest wind power facility in Chile and all of South America. According to the Company, this acquisition increases its ownership in El Arrayán to 70% with the remaining 30% owned by Antofagasta Minerals SA. Pattern Energy stated that it paid a $45.25 million purchase price to AEI from the Company's available cash on hand and assumed certain obligations including primarily of AEI's proportional share of project debt which was at $87 million. Mike Garland, CEO, Pattern Energy said, "With this acquisition we are increasing our cash flow from the project while expanding our platform in the Chilean market which has a strong, stable economy and a growing demand for renewable resources." New Jersey Resources Corp Analyst Notes
On June 26, 2014, NJR Clean Energy Ventures (NJRCEV), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources Corp (NJR), announced the completion of its first onshore wind project, the Two Dot Wind Farm in Montana that consists of six GE 1.62 megawatt, 87-meter rotor diameter wind turbines with a capacity of 9.7 megawatts. The Company stated that NJRCEV invested approximately $22 million to develop the project. NJRCEV will own and operate the wind farm. Laurence M. Black Hills Corp Analyst Notes
