Recipe Contest a Win-Win for Peanut Butter Lovers and Hunger Relief Organization Feeding America

CANTON, Ga., June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern Peanut Growers challenged consumers to lose the loaf in its second annual "PB my way" recipe contest. Peanut butter lovers were called on to submit inspiring peanut butter entrees and help support hunger relief organization Feeding America.

Southern Peanut Growers pledged to match jars of peanut butter for recipe submissions. "We are thrilled to donate 3,000 jars of peanut butter to Feeding America on behalf of peanut butter lovers everywhere," says Executive Director Leslie Wagner.

The contest called for "quick and easy" entrees that take less than an hour to make, include ten or fewer ingredients, and feature peanut butter. Beef Kabobs with Peanut Sauce by James, Ohio

Peanut butter lovers can view the top three recipes on Facebook to vote for their favorite. The finalist with the "most liked" recipe by midnight EST on Friday, June 24, 2011, will receive a $200 Visa® gift card.
