Reception Welcomes Community To Sagebrush Inn
Hotel owners and management company celebrate hotel's history and community significance
TAOS, N.M., March 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- One of the most notable and celebrated structures in Taos, the Sagebrush Inn & Suites, hosted an evening reception event on February 2, 2014, where the community was welcomed to the hotel's conference center to celebrate the property's significance, rich history and important place within the Taos community with its new owners and operators.
More than 50 local business owners, members of the Taos city council and chamber of commerce attended the event hosted by the hotel's new owners, James Hamisohn and Jared Steinberg, who purchased the property and the former adjacent Comfort Suites in late 2013 from Ken and Louise Blair, who owned the Sagebrush Inn since 1974. Now, both neighboring hotels will be integrated to form the Sagebrush Inn & Suites. Dallas-based Prism Hotels & Resorts, a premier full-service hotel investment, management, and advisory company, will manage the property.
During the event, guests enjoyed live guitar music by a local musician and cuisine from the hotel's culinary team, including chile rellenos and Bizcochitos, the state cookie of New Mexico. With the owners' future plans to revamp the hotel's menu and overall dining experience, the event provided the community an exciting sneak preview of what's to come as the hotel undergoes updates and renovations in the coming months.
A recognized treasure of Taos, the historic property was built in 1929 and offers guests a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience the city's artistic and outdoor offerings due to its adobe-like structure and unique charm.
