Recently Formed Travel Technology Company Journera Builds Senior Management Ranks And Re-Brands
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Journera, which launched in July as Dihedral, LLC, today announced that four travel- and technology-industry veterans have joined its senior management team in key roles. The company also announced its new name and brand identity which captures the promise of more seamless travel experiences.
Journera is developing a platform for travel providers and application developers to better manage the traveler experience across travel verticals, and is backed by major players in the travel industry. Joining the company's co-founder and CEO, Jeffrey Katz, in key leadership roles are:
Shelly DeMott, Chief Product Officer
Ms. DeMott, who will translate customer needs into the Journera platform, has deep product management experience in the travel technology industry. Prior to joining Journera, she was Vice President of Product at Orbitz Worldwide where she was responsible for global product strategy and product management for the air, car and hotel products, white-label offerings and internal systems.
Kevin Iverson, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Iverson, who will be leading the team developing Journera's first experience management platform, brings nearly two decades of experience in technical management and software development. He has previously served in a number of senior technology roles at Orbitz Worldwide; as Chief Technology Officer of HomeFinder.com; and as Chief Technology Officer of Clayco, a major development, architecture and engineering firm.
Gary Doernhoefer, General Counsel
Mr. Doernhoefer, who will guide legal, government and industry relations, has a rich career history in the travel industry. He was previously General Counsel for the International Air Transport Association; General Counsel for Orbitz Worldwide; and a member of the legal and government affairs teams at American Airlines.
Chris Bruce, Vice President of Commercial
Mr. Bruce, who will lead all commercial initiatives and new business development for the company, was previously a Principal for The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he was instrumental in developing the Journera business and strategy in conjunction with his BCG colleagues and CEO Jeffrey Katz. In his time at BCG, he led projects for many Fortune 500 companies across the travel and tourism, retail, consumer products and industrial goods industries.
