Analyst Update: Management Changes, Financial Results, and Dividends
U.S. stocks closed lower on Tuesday amid sharp bond market volatility. The NASDAQ Composite closed at 4,976.19, down 0.35%, the S&P 500 fell 0.29% to 2,099.12, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day 0.20% lower, at 18,068.23. European stocks fell sharply on Tuesday as heavy bond market sell-off flustered investors. Germany's DAX 30 slipped 1.72%, France's CAC 40 tumbled 1.06%, and the London's FTSE 100 closed 1.37% lower on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Asian markets were mixed on Tuesday amid concern over Greece's future in the euro zone and interest rate cut in China.
On April 30, 2015, the Coca-Cola Company Board of Directors promoted J. Alexander "Sandy" Douglas Jr., currently Senior Vice President and President, Coca-Cola North America to Executive Vice President, and promoted Dr. Ed Hays, currently Vice President and Chief Technical Officer to Senior Vice President.
According to a Bloomberg report dated May 8, 2015, Thomas May, a Bank of America Corp. board member who helped combine the firm's chief executive officer and chairman roles, was re-elected with 66% of the vote, the least of any director, and down from 98% last year.
The Regions Financial Corporation Board of Directors, on April 23, 2015, declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.06 per common share and authorized an equity repurchase program for up to $875 million of the Company's common stock.
Visa Inc. on April 30, 2015 announced financial results for the second quarter Fiscal Year 2015. Total operating revenue for the quarter was $3.4 billion, up 8% YoY, driven by solid growth in service revenues, data processing and international transaction revenues.
Wells Fargo Insurance, part of Wells Fargo & Company, on May 7, 2015, has named Steve Anderson managing director for the San Francisco Bay Area region, one of the Company's lucrative markets for its insurance business.
