Recaro Automotive Seating takes home another top spot in sport seats category
KIRCHHEIM, Germany and TECK, Germany, Oct. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- For the eleventh time in a row, Recaro Automotive Seating secured victory in the German "sport auto-Award". More than 13,200 readers of "sport auto" magazine voted to select the winner in the sport seats category and 88 percent of them chose Recaro Automotive Seating – a huge margin of victory over the second-place finisher. The Adient product group also achieved the highest result across all of the award categories.
"This victory is a great honor and an obligation toward today's and our future customers. Their high standards and demands drive us to listen even more carefully and to work even more precisely to reach this high level of brand acceptance in the future as well," said Martin C. Klein, vice president Recaro Automotive Seating. "Moreover, I'm very happy about this great result, because it coincides with this year's 50th anniversary of the Recaro shell seat."
In 2016, Recaro Automotive Seating celebrated ten years of taking home the top spot in the "sport auto-Award" – a string of successes that the brand has now continued unbroken into 2017. This year, like in past years, the readers of "sport auto" selected the premium seat manufacturer as the clear winner in the sport seats category. The second-place finisher was well behind with 39.8 percent. In addition, with its outstanding result, Recaro Automotive Seating also achieved the highest score among the 19 categories in which the award is presented.
The "sport auto-Award" is considered one of the most representative awards in the German industry media scene. In 2017, more than 13,200 readers participated in the 25th edition of the event by voting in nineteen different categories.
Winning the "sport auto-Award" is one of a series of honors that the company has received in 2017. In April, the best brand readers' choice awards organized by the German industry publications "auto motor und sport," "Motorsport aktuell" and "Auto Bild" confirmed the seat manufacturer's top place ranking four times over. In May, readers of "Tuning" and "VW Speed" chose the best tuning brands of 2017 for the Theo Awards and selected Recaro Automotive Seating as the winner in the accessories category. Furthermore, in ETM publishing's respected "Die besten Marken 2017" (The best brands of 2017) reader poll, over 50 percent of the readers of the German trade magazines "trans aktuell," "lastauto omnibus," and "Fernfahrer" chose the brand for the top spot in the driver's seats category for commercial vehicles – for the fifth time in a row.
