Realtors® Reach Out in Communities Across PA
LEMOYNE, Pa., Oct. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The PA Association of Realtors® (PAR) today announced the fourth annual Realtors® Reach Out Month 2011.
Realtors® from local associations are donating their time to charitable organizations across the state. The PA Association of Realtors® (PAR) has garnered support for this initiative from Gov. Tom Corbett, who proclaimed October as Realtors® Reach Out Month. State Sen. Wayne Fontana (D-Allegheny) put forth a resolution in the Senate declaring October as Realtors® Reach Out Month.
"This year's Realtors® Reach Out event will undoubtedly be as successful and helpful as the previous three," said Gov. Corbett.
In the past three years, more than 5,500 Realtors® across the state participated with 27 local Realtor® associations and boards, donated more than $153,000 and collected nearly 37,600 pounds of food and 1,000 pieces of clothing for charitable organizations.
"Realtors® dedicate much of their time to their individual communities throughout the year," said PAR President Guy A. Matteo, GRI, SRES. "We've seen an increased need in many areas and Realtors® Reach Out Month gives us a great opportunity to touch the lives of many people in our own communities."
