Realtor.com® Broadens Reach with Photo-Rich Windows 8 Applications for Telephones, Tablets and Computers

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Realtor.com^®, the leader in providing consumers the most accurate U.S. residential listings online, today unveils two applications optimized for Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system, which let people take advantage of the native Windows' design and functionality when they search for listings using mobile tablets, smart telephones, and personal computers. Move, Inc. (NASDAQ: MOVE) operates realtor.com^®.

The Windows 8 smartphone application is available today as a free download from the Windows Phone Store and the tablet and personal computer versions are available free for downloading from the Windows Store. Once a Windows application is downloaded, users open it by selecting the realtor.com^® tile. The Windows 8 applications may be 'pinned' to the start screen for quick launching.

The new photo-centric applications provide access to millions of accurate listings of homes for sale and apartments for rent provided by more than 800 multiple listing services (MLS). Over ninety percent of realtor.com^®'s real estate listings are updated every 15 minutes. Using these new applications, a consumer may quickly search various criteria including open houses, characteristics such as price and the number of bedrooms, recently sold homes, a MLS number, and residences near a Global Positioning System (GPS) location. They can "swipe" or select to see detailed photographs of properties. Listing details displayed include property tax, sales history, and school information. Listings and searches can easily be saved and shared via email.

New features of the Windows 8 realtor.com^® applications include an attractive "hub," or start page, photo-card view, the ability to pin listings to the start screen, and a calendar.

Realtor.com^® launched its first mobile application in January 2010. By January 2013, the number of its residential listings viewed on mobile devices overtook those searched with desktop computers. By March 2014, nearly 60 percent of all realtor.com^® residential listings viewed each month were on mobile devices.

"Most accurate" claim(s) pertain to the accuracy of home listings, are based on comparison with other national listing portals, and are based on the greater frequency of listings updating on realtor.com®.
