Real Estate Roundtable to Host Injured Veterans and their Families for Washington Redskins Home Opener
WASHINGTON, Sept. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In support of the Yellow Ribbon Fund program, which provides services to injured veterans and their relatives, The Real Estate Roundtable will use its suite at FedEx Field on September 11 during the Washington Redskins' opening game of the NFL season to host recuperating service members and their families.
"The Roundtable is proud to support the Yellow Ribbon Fund program, which helps veterans and their families on their road to recovery," said Real Estate Roundtable President and CEO Jeffrey D. DeBoer. "On this solemn anniversary of remembrance, we are honored to host a small group of wounded service personnel and their loved ones as the entire nation reflects on the past sacrifice and continued service of our fellow citizens in the military. We join the nation in saying thank you to these dedicated Americans."
The Yellow Ribbon Fund aims to bridge a gap in services between what the military can provide to veterans and their families versus their ongoing needs. The Fund has worked closely with hospital staff for more than six years to ensure support services continue to go to wounded soldiers and families who need it most. The Fund's mission statement is Welcoming Our Injured Service Members Home.
