ReadyNurse Staffing Services Awarded Joint Commission Certification
PALM HARBOR, Fla., Jan. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ReadyNurse Staffing Services, a healthcare staffing services company, has achieved the Gold Seal of Approval™ for health care staffing services. The Joint Commission has awarded ReadyNurse Staffing Services a Health Care Staffing Services Certification. Each certification is valid for a 24-month period, after which a company can undergo a recertification process. ReadyNurse Staffing has earned this certification four times since the program began in 2004.
ReadyNurse Staffing Services met national standards addressing how staffing firms determine the qualifications and competency of their staff, how they place their staff and then monitor staff's performance.
"This process is designed to help organizations continuously provide safe, high-quality care, treatment, and services by identifying opportunities for improvement in processes," shared Mark G. Pelletier, RN, MS, Chief Operating Officer, Division of Accreditation and Certification Operations, The Joint Commission.
"We are proud to have earned this Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission," shares Craig McGovern, Vice President of ReadyNurse. "This certification recognizes the hard work and dedication of our staff and our commitment to ongoing quality improvement."
The ongoing shortages of nurses, therapists and other health care professionals have caused health care organizations to fill positions with temporary workers through contractual arrangements with staffing firms. The Joint Commission certification program was launched in October 2004 to offer an independent, comprehensive evaluation of a staffing firm's abilities to provide competent staffing services.
Founded in 1951, the Joint Commission seeks to continuously improve the safety and quality of care provided to the public through the provision of health care accreditation and related services that support performance improvement in health care organizations. An independent, not-for-profit organization, the Joint Commission is the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care.
