Rdio Expands European Leadership Team to Continue International Growth

Recruits Music Industry Executives to Drive Expansion Across Europe, the Middle East & Africa
Rdio, a leading global music streaming service, today announces the addition of three experienced music executives to its growing UK-based team covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa in response to rapid international expansion and increasing user demand around the world for the company's innovative mix of Internet radio and on-demand music subscription.

Rdio has hired Hong Nguyen as Head of EMEA, Alex Vlassopulos as Vice President & Head of Business Development, EMEA and Luke Anthony as Director of Legal & Business Affairs. In their new roles, the executives will work closely with Oliver Barnes, Vice President of International New Business, to bolster Rdio's efforts in providing international music fans access to its expansive music catalog of more than 32 million songs and comprehensive music discovery features.

Nguyen is responsible for executing Rdio's strategic plans across the EMEA and establishing a strong presence for the music streaming service in the region. He previously served as General Manager of video hosting service VEVO where he led UK and European sales, marketing, finance, business development, content and programming. Prior to Vevo, Nguyen was the Director of Finance at Fox Interactive Media for EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
Vlassopulos leads business development strategies and partnerships across the EMEA region for Rdio. Prior to Rdio, he served as Vice President of Commercial Development at cloud-based music provider Omnifone where he was responsible for delivering significant growth through commercial sales and partnerships including licensing with record labels. Before Omnifone, Vlassopulos was Head of Business Development for Digital & Strategic partnerships at Sony Music Entertainment and worked in Product Development, Digital for Universal Music Group.
Anthony provides Rdio with legal support for the company's commercial activities across the EMEA. He joins Rdio from media and entertainment law firm Michael Simkins LLP where he served as a solicitor specializing in music, new media and digital content licensing. Prior to Michael Simkins LLP, Anthony was in-house counsel at Warner Music Group's Digital Legal & Business Affairs group.
