CRESSKILL, N.J., Aug. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- RD Legal Funding, LLC ("RD Legal"), an active advocate for First Responder rights and 9/11 survivors, recently donated to both the National September 11th Memorial and Museum in New York City, and the Tenafly September 11th Memorial in Tenafly, New Jersey. RD Legal is based in Cresskill, New Jersey, an area that experienced great loss and was otherwise affected by the September 11th tragedy along with New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and the rest of the country. "We are always looking to honor the victims and brave heroes who lost their lives during this national tragedy," says Joseph Genovesi, President of RD Legal. "Any way we can help keep their memories alive, it is our honor to do so."

The donations were made both to support the memorials, as well as to reaffirm the relationship that RD Legal has with some in the 9/11 First Responder community. Last year, the company helped many 9/11 First Responders access their long-delayed New York City settlement awards. Today, they are in the process of assisting Zadroga claimants to receive accelerated access to their awards. RD Legal is currently positioned to accelerate the second payment of any Zadroga claimant who has fully completed their claim and has received their award letter.
The National September 11th Memorial and Museum first became operational in 2005 and is located near the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan. It was constructed to remember and honor the victims of both the February 26th, 1993 and September 11th, 2001 World Trade Center attacks. Visitors to the museum will see artifacts, photographs, audiovisual exhibitions, recorded testimonies, personal effects, and other memorabilia. The museum is also seeking to hear from those who would be willing to share their personal experience associated with the attacks. New York City will have its annual ceremony where the names of all those killed will be read aloud by their family members and loved ones near the National September 11th Memorial & Museum.
The Tenafly September 11th Memorial is currently being organized by the volunteer-run Tenafly Fire Association in Tenafly, New Jersey. The town reportedly lost four residents to the September 11th World Trade Center attacks. According to recent news reports, the memorial will include a section of a steel beam from the World Trade Center, the original fire department ring from the establishment of the fire department in 1891, and the fire bell that was used to summon fire fighters in the early 20th century. The Tenafly Fire Association plans to have an official ceremony during which the memorial will be unveiled to the public on Sunday, September 8th, near the Tenafly Town Square.
For any prospective donors, both memorials are still seeking donations.
