RBFCU Doubles Its Cash Back Rewards for the Holidays

LIVE OAK, Texas, Dec. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- GOBankingRates client Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU) in the San Antonio metropolitan area is doubling its checking account cash back rewards for the holiday season. From now until December 31, 2014, members can earn 20 cents instead of the regular 10 cents cash back on every debit card purchase made using the credit union's Freedom Check Card. This is the last chance of the year for members to earn double cash back as they complete their holiday shopping.

"Holiday shoppers are starting to spend more but they still want good deals to help them save money," stated Casey Bond, GOBankingRates' managing editor. "RBFCU's double cash back rewards for the holidays is a great opportunity for members to gain a little extra for themselves while they shop for friends and family; it also demonstrates the credit union's commitment to members' financial well-being."

The credit union recently returned more than $2.8 million in cash to its members for using their MasterCard credit cards. Since the credit union launched its debit and credit card cash back programs—in 2007 and 1994, respectively—members have received more than $38 million in rewards.

Details of the holiday cash back promotion include:

Members must have a Really Free Checking Account with a debit card.
The promotion ends on December 31, 2014.
On January 1, 2015, the program reverts to the standard 10 cents cash back per purchase made using the debit card.
