Razorfish Announces Key Hires in Commerce Strategy to Meet Surging Client Demand
Steve White and Jon Reily Join Commerce Practice and Bring Deep Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods and Consumer Electronics
NEW YORK, June 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Razorfish, the world leader in helping global brands drive business transformation, today announced two key hires in its Commerce Practice – Jon Reily and Steve White. Both have been hired as Vice President of Commerce Strategy and will report to Razorfish's Head of Commerce Strategy Jason Goldberg. The strategic hires will help the agency meet the increasing demand from clients looking for partners able to combine commerce strategy with world-class delivery to reinvent and digitize their retail channels.
"We've seen a three-fold increase in commerce related assignments over the last year, and that trend will only continue as retailers and brands move beyond simply supporting e-commerce, to actually making digital commerce a strategic competitive advantage," said Goldberg. "Steve and Jon are experienced strategists with client-side success in major commerce initiatives. We're extremely excited to add both leaders to our growing team."
Reily joins Razorfish from Amazon, where he was the head of user experience and design for Kindle Stores. In this role, he led the design and customer experience for Amazon Kindle's worldwide content e-commerce business. As an entrepreneur, he founded two successful e-commerce companies during the dot com boom before moving to the private sector where he helped brands such as Scholastic, Prudential, GoDaddy.com and Guitar Center create their digital identities. He was the leader of the team that won Multichannel Merchant's Website of the Year award in 2011, and also played a key role in elevating MusiciansFriend.com to the number one position in Internet Retailer Magazine's Top 100 Web Retailer list in the Specialty/Non-Apparel category and to #38 among all domestic web retailers in 2010.
At Razorfish, Reily will be responsible for driving growth among the agency's consumer electronics clients, as well as clients developing their mobile commerce strategies and clients seeking to improve their presence on Amazon.
White joins Razorfish from R/GA, where he was group director and worked with Nike on its direct-to-consumer and retail innovations business. Prior to that, he held the role of group director at The Integer Group. Over the course of his career, he has worked on e-commerce strategies on behalf of leading global brands including Target, Nike, Proctor & Gamble, Adidas and Kellogg. He was part of the team that won FastCo Design's 2013 Retail Accelerator for Target, and is a veteran speaker on development topics for retail.
In his new position, White will be responsible for driving growth in the consumer packaged goods vertical, with a particular focus in helping clients develop their digital commerce capabilities to support retail partners and direct-to-consumer offerings.
