Raytheon Awarded a One-Year Extension to United States Antarctic Program Support Contract
RESTON, Va., April 5, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company's (NYSE: RTN) Raytheon Polar Services, a division of Raytheon Technical Services Company (RTSC), was awarded a one-year extension to its current contract with National Science Foundation (NSF) for science, operations and logistics support to the U.S. Antarctic Program.
Raytheon Polar Services has earned excellent performance ratings since 2000 as the prime contractor to the U.S. Antarctic Program for NSF. The extension will take the contract to March 31, 2011.

Raytheon Polar Services employs about 350 full-time staff and hires approximately 1,400 contract employees from its offices in Centennial, Colo.
