LIVERPOOL, N.Y., Nov. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Raymour & Flanigan Furniture and Mattresses reached a new milestone in its efforts to be a leader in green practices. Over the last year, the eco-friendly furniture retailer recycled more than 17 million pounds of packaging. To celebrate this achievement, and to help bring awareness to America Recycles Day on November 15, the organization is airing a new marketing campaign centered on recycling.
Raymour & Flanigan has been recycling packaging from furniture since 2002. After a piece of furniture or a mattress is delivered to a customer, all cardboard, Styrofoam® and plastic packaging is returned to one of the company's privately operated recycling facilities in N.Y. and N.J.
"At Raymour & Flanigan, we've made a commitment to take care of the environment," says Neil Goldberg, president and CEO. "We've taken this promise to heart and made it a part of our culture as an organization, and we hope that our new video will inspire other businesses to do the same."
The newly launched TV campaign features an animated video that reflects on the importance of recycling. The video was created in partnership with JAY Advertising.
