Rave Mobile Safety Invites Public Safety Community and Media to Live Streaming of Emergency Communications & Response Summit

Rave Mobile Safety's 3rd Annual Emergency Communications & Response Summit featuring Richard Serino, former deputy administrator of FEMA; Juliette Kayyem, former assistant secretary at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; and Boston Police Commissioner William Evans.

Opening Remarks: To be delivered by Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts, Karyn Polito. 
Innovations & Opportunities for Improved Disaster Response and Recovery: Richard Serino is a visiting fellow at Harvard's National Preparedness Leadership Initiative, former deputy administrator of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and is considered the founding father of Boston's EMS, where he served as chief. Serino will highlight response to and recovery from Super Storm Sandy, as well as other disaster efforts he coordinated, sharing the importance of establishing a culture of innovation to significantly impact event outcomes.
Never Say, "Never Again:" Juliette Kayyem, former assistant secretary of intergovernmental affairs for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, has spent more than 15 years managing policy initiatives and response to major crisis in both state and federal government. Kayyem will discuss preparing for and responding to terrorist attacks and other disasters.
Latest Trends in Big City Policing: Boston Police Commissioner, William Evans, will provide insight into effective large-metro policing efforts, drawing from his 33 years with the Department. Evans has had roles in such notable events as the successful handling of the 70-day occupation of Dewey Square by Occupy Boston, the City's response in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings, and the capture of convicted terrorist Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
