CHICAGO, April 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Rasmussen College today announced the appointment of Marshall Lancaster as the new Chief Information Officer of the College. Lancaster will oversee all technology and information systems infrastructures at Rasmussen College to help further position the regionally accredited college as a leader in online education.

Prior to joining Rasmussen College, Lancaster served as the Vice President of I.T. Enterprise Applications at United Stationers, Inc. in Deerfield, Ill. In this position, he led business solution development for the entire company and created a shared services organization that consolidated all application development within one leadership structure. During his tenure at United Stationers, Lancaster oversaw multi-million dollar operational budgets, held accountability for all enterprise shared service and technology architecture functions – such as IT operations, security infrastructure, and IT policy ownership – and also led the modernization of several of the company's e-commerce platforms.

Lancaster earned his Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University, and is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School. He holds ITIL-Practitioner, ITIL-Foundations, and Six Sigma Green Belt certifications. Lancaster also served in the United States Air Force.
