Rasmussen College Realigns The School Of Technology And Design To Better Accommodate Students

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Rasmussen College today announced the separation of the School of Technology and Design to best meet the educational needs of students. The School's previous structure combined students pursuing a more technical path, with those individuals interested in multimedia and digital design technologies. While both pathways deliver a comprehensive and career-focused curriculum that builds a foundation for future success, each attracts a unique student and demands a different focus on content and academic delivery. This new split will meet both objectives.

According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the demand for technology professionals is projected to grow up to 28 percent by 2020. The new School of Technology offers Bachelor's and Associate's degree, Diploma and Certificate programs in fields such as Computer Science, Software Application Development, Cyber Security, Information Technology Management, Information Systems Management, and Game and Simulation Programming. The school realignment allows Rasmussen College to support this demand by expanding its complete portfolio of existing technology programs in the state of Illinois and fully online.

The School of Design offers Bachelor's and Associate's degree and Diploma programs in fields such as Digital Design and Animation and Multimedia Technologies.
