Rasmussen College Celebrates Graduates And Success At Commencement Ceremony
Rasmussen College Graduation to be held June 29 at the Clock Tower Resort and Conference Center
ROCKFORD, Ill., June 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Rasmussen College will celebrate the graduation of approximately 130 students from its Rockford Campus on Friday, June 29, 2012. Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college focused on delivering career-focused education, will host this year's commencement ceremony at the Clock Tower Resort and Conference Center at 6 p.m. Nearly 1,100 people are expected to attend.
The graduates, who all completed their required coursework during the past six months, will be presented certificates, diplomas, associate's and bachelor's degrees from the Schools of Business, Criminal Justice, Education, Health Sciences, and Technology and Design.

Dr. Ehren Jarrett, the assistant superintendent for the Rockford Public Schools, will deliver the keynote address at the commencement ceremony. Earning his doctorate in Educational Leadership, Dr. Jarrett has dedicated his life to education and preparing the next generation for success. Prior to coming to Rockford Public Schools, he served as principal of Hononegah Community High School. During his tenure there, both Newsweek magazine and the Washington Post named Hononegah one of the top schools in the nation. Dr. Jarrett currently serves as the chair of the Alignment Rockford High School Pathways Committee, the Education Chair of the United Way Annual Campaign, and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Discovery Center.
Taso Tsiganos, II, who will be receiving his Associate's of Applied Sciences degree in Business Management, was selected as this year's student speaker. Tsiganos will graduate with a 4.0 GPA and plans to return to school immediately to earn his bachelor's degree. However, his aspirations don't end there; Tsiganos plans to attend law school in the future.
