- Company also recognized with eBay for 'Environmental Project of the Year' award -
SOMERSET, N.J., June 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Raritan today announced that its data center management solutions have received multiple awards recently from industry organizations around the globe. Raritan's solutions that help data centers better manage and utilize resources were selected for the innovative ways they solve data center energy issues -- such as reducing energy waste, finding capacity, and more-efficient ways to add servers and make changes.
Raritan won the "Environmental Project of the Year" award for its case study on eBay's implementation of data center energy-saving solutions. The case study details how eBay created and began executing a four-year data center plan with an ambitious goal: to cut power costs in half, while simultaneously doubling compute performance.
"It is very gratifying to see our customer, eBay, being recognized for its thought leadership and innovation in data center efficiency. Dean Nelson and his team at eBay have raised the bar for the industry and have demonstrated that Green IT is not only good for the environment, but also good for business," said Gary Marks, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing for Raritan. "We are proud that our data center software solutions, as well as our intelligent rack power distribution units for measuring data center energy, are being recognized globally for their outstanding and innovative management capabilities."
Here are the awards that Raritan recently picked up:
Green IT Award for eBay project – "Environmental Project of the Year over 100 Employees" award. In addition, Raritan's Power IQ® energy management software, dcTrack® DCIM software and PX intelligent rack PDUs were finalists in four other Green IT award categories.
