Raritan DCIM Named Best Asset Management Solution Finalist by SIIA Software CODiE Award Judges
-- Raritan DCIM Software Earns Prestigious Software Industry Recognition --
WASHINGTON, April 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Raritan – a leading provider of data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software and intelligent rack power distribution solutions – today announced that the Raritan DCIM Software was named a finalist for the 2014 SIIA Software CODiE Award for Best Asset Management Solution.
The SIIA CODiE Awards are the premier award for the software and information industries, and have been recognizing product excellence for 29 years. This year's program features 28 Software categories. Winners will be announced during a special Awards dinner on May 21 in San Francisco during the industry's premier ISV gathering of SaaS, BI, and Cloud providers, Maximize.
Raritan's dcTrack® DCIM Software tracks and provides a visual mapping of data center assets, including IT and facilities devices. A productivity boost, the Raritan DCIM solution shows how everything in the data center is physically connected down to the individual power port and NIC level. As a result, users are able to quickly get answers to questions such as: What assets do I have in my operations?, Where are assets located?, How are my devices configured and connected?, How much power and space do I have in my cabinets? The software's powerful intelligent search feature automatically correlates power, space and network capacity; just enter the make and model of a server, and the software does the work.
"We are delighted that the CODiE software award judges have recognized Raritan's DCIM software for its asset management capabilities and for advancing data center management," said James Cerwinski, Director of Software at Raritan. "Traditional asset tracking tools -- such as spreadsheets, Visio diagrams, and home-grown systems -- can no longer keep up and often contain outdated information. In some cases, 25 percent of data center assets go missing because of poor record keeping. Cost savings and optimized operations are among the benefits of more-thorough and accurate management of physical infrastructures with DCIM software."
"This year's CODiE Awards finalists showcase the innovation and creativity in today's market. We are happy to recognize them for their products that are breaking ground in the software industry," said Rhianna Collier, VP for the Software Division at SIIA. "I look forward to honoring all the finalists in May at our awards program at Maximize."
