(Upsher-Smith) is pleased to recognize Iowa pharmacist Randy McDonough, RPh, this year's recipient of the National Community Pharmacists Association's (NCPA) prestigious Willard B. NCPA's Independent Pharmacist of the Year award is given annually to an independent pharmacist who has demonstrated exemplary leadership and commitment to independent pharmacy and to their community. "As a company with a long history of supporting independent and community pharmacists, we are proud to join NCPA in recognizing extraordinary accomplishments in pharmacy and community leadership," said Rusty Field, President, Upsher-Smith. "Mr. McDonough exemplifies the ideals of community pharmacy and is a very deserving recipient of the 2016 Willard B. Simmons Independent Pharmacist of the Year award."
"We appreciate Upsher-Smith's continued support of the Willard B. Simmons Independent Pharmacist of the Year award," said Doug Hoey, CEO, NCPA. "Award recipients have exemplified what it means to be an independent community pharmacist, and we are proud to partner with Upsher-Smith to recognize Mr. McDonough as this year's recipient."
