Randall Stephenson, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer & President, AT&T to Address The Executives' Club of Chicago
CHICAGO, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Around the world, mobile broadband connectivity has become an essential part of the way people live and work – and, increasingly, an important driver of economic growth and competitive advantage.
Randall Stephenson, chairman, CEO and president of AT&T, says that public policies that encourage investment and innovation are needed to keep America competitive. He will discuss these and related topics in his address "Connectivity: Driving Commercial Velocity" before members and guests of The Executives' Club of Chicago at its March 11, 2010 Global Leaders Luncheon.
Since becoming chairman in 2007, Stephenson has strengthened AT&T's position as the world's largest telecommunications company and as an innovator in mobile broadband and global IP data solutions.
The program will be held at The Fairmont Chicago, Imperial Ballroom, B2Level. A networking reception will take place at 11:45 a.m., with the luncheon at 12:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $57.50 for Executives' Club members; $78.50 for non-members.
The program will be proceeded by the Club's Technology Conference, "Harnessing the Power if Information to Drive Better Business Performance." The Conference will explore how organizations gain insight into a business, shifting the focus from an efficient delivery of information to an accurate insight that recognizes the business value of the information for improved business performance. Sessions will demonstrate that huge investments in IT do not guarantee better information; it is more important to revolutionize the way data is gathered, processed, and presented.
The Conference will be highlighted by the following presentations:
- "The Journey to Business Intelligence through the Eyes of the CFO" by Cheryl Beebe, Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Corn Products International, Inc.
- "The Strategic Power of Information," by David Nelms, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Discover Financial Services and Second Vice Chair, The Executives' Club of Chicago
- "Transforming Healthcare: Information Empowering Caregivers, Patients and Communities" by Timothy Zoph, Senior Vice President, Administration & Chief Information Officer, Northwestern Memorial Hospital
A panel discussion will follow, moderated by Linda Imonti, National Business Intelligence and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Leader, KPMG LLP.
The Technology Conference will take place from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at The Fairmont Chicago in the International Ballroom, second level. The cost to attend is $100 for Executives' Club members; $150 for non-members.
