CHICAGO, June 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ramin Mikaili, Ph.D., a consultant with more than 25 years of experience, largely with a focus on marketing analytics, has joined Prophet as a partner. He will be based in the firm's Chicago office. As part of Prophet's Analytics Group, he brings his expertise in utilizing data, insights and analytics as the basis for creating CRM and marketing solutions for clients.

During his career, Mikaili has consulted with clients across various industries, ranging from automotive, telecommunications and high tech to consumer packaged goods and entertainment. He joined Prophet after two years at Mindshare, where he led the Business Strategy unit's client strategy practice, and devised marketing and CRM solutions. Prior to that, he spent two years at Merkle, leading the customer strategy practice after devising the firm's segmentation approach, competitive positioning and go-to-market strategy.
Prior to Merkle, Mikaili was senior vice president of professional services for Entiera, a Software as a Service (SaaS) startup. Before, he spent 15 years at Accenture in positions of increasing responsibility, culminating with his position as partner leading Accenture's segmentation and analytics practice during his last five years with the firm.
He started his career at Argonne, a Department of Energy Laboratory directed by the University of Chicago. He spent six years there as a scientist in the advanced analytics group leading research into artificial intelligence-based applications for monitoring nuclear power plants.
Mikaili was educated at Iowa State University, where he earned his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, his master's degree in nuclear engineering, and his bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering. He and his family reside in Chicago.
