NEW YORK, June 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Arup, a multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm with a reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable projects, announced today that Ramesh Raman has joined its New York office as an associate principal and the energy leader in the Transaction Advice group. His previous experience providing structured advisory services to developers and governments, along with facilitating third-party evaluations to financial and private equity firms in the energy space, will contribute to Arup's growth and ongoing success consulting with clients in the U.S. energy market.
Ramesh is working alongside Arup's global- and U.S.-based team of transaction advisors, including U.K.-based Jonathan Yates, who has been temporarily assigned to the New York office to further enhance the growth of the Energy Sector Advisory Group in the Americas.

Previously, Ramesh led the conception and implementation of development projects across the power and petrochemical sectors, developed the planning and execution strategies, and lead and secured the negotiation of fuel, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and equity financing arrangements.
Prior to joining Arup, Ramesh was the managing director of energy consulting firm Taylor DeJongh, Inc; he developed power and fertilizer projects in the U.S. for institutionally backed development companies (Energy Development Group, LLC, Refined Energy Holdings, LLC and Magnolia Nitrogen Idaho, LLC); and held senior project finance posts at Sakura Bank (SMBC), Dresdner Bank, Fleet Bank N.A., Reliance Group Holdings, and Bank of Tokyo Trust.
