LOS ANGELES, May 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, May 26, Ralphs officials will celebrate the grand reopening of its remodeled and renovated store at 1730 W. Manchester Boulevard in south Los Angeles. The festivities will include speeches, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a tour of the remodeled store.
The 45,000 square-foot store underwent five months of major renovations. The remodeled store features expanded and upgraded produce, meat, seafood, bakery and deli departments. It also offers a wide range of fresh, organic and natural products. Other new services include an in-store Starbucks café and a Money Shop offering an array of financial services. The store is also equipped with several environmentally-friendly features that contribute to a greener community.
To serve customers, the remodeled Western & Manchester Ralphs will employ approximately 90 full- and part-time associates, including 20 new-hires from the surrounding community. The store is managed by Ray Sum, who began his career in 1982 as a part-time Courtesy Clerk. He has managed the Western & Manchester Ralphs since 2012.
As part of the store's grand reopening celebration, Ralphs will also announce donations to two area schools – La Salle Elementary School and George Washington High School.
