Rally Software Sponsors the National Day of Civic Hacking

BOULDER, Colo., May 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Rally®, a leading global provider of cloud-based solutions for managing Agile software development, today announced its sponsorship of the National Day of Civic Hacking taking place June 1-2. The 93 events taking place across the United States will bring together citizens, software developers and entrepreneurs to collaboratively create, build and invent using publicly-released data to solve challenges relevant to our neighborhoods, cities, states and countries.

To celebrate this partnership and support collaboration during the hackathon and beyond, Rally has also announced a free one-year subscription of AgileZen and Flowdock for all hackathon participants. During the two-day event, any hackathon participant can sign up for these tools to track the status of projects and collaborate with peers, and maintain the project and any pending work for one year following the event. Rally's distributed team collaboration platform enables technically, environmentally and socially responsible developers - what Rally calls citizen engineers - to work together and make a difference from anywhere in the world.

Rally employees will participate in local events in Boulder, Seattle and Raleigh, though any hackathon participant can collaborate with teams at any event location using remote collaboration tools like AgileZen and Flowdock.
