Rally in Front of the White House on February 24 in Memory of 21 Copts Slain in Libya
WASHINGTON, Feb. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- To commemorate the 21 Copts slaughtered in Libya by the Islamic State terrorists last week, Coptic Solidarity is organizing a rally in front of the White House, to be followed by a march to the Congress, on Tuesday, February 24th from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM
The objectives of the Rally:
- Honor the innocent victims.
- Declare the rejection of Jihadi terrorism and those who stand behind it.
- Call to open a safe corridor for the return of Egyptians trapped in Libya, under the auspices of the United Nations and the International Red Cross.
- Support Egypt in the war against terrorism, inside and outside Egypt.
Egyptians from across the United States will gather to show their solidarity in the current painful ordeal. Friends and supporters, including many from Middle East communities, will also join.
Media representatives, and those who wish to express support are encouraged to come and invite others to attend.
Rally starts from 11:00 AM in front of the main gate of the White House.
At 1:00 PM a march starts towards the Congress and back again in front of the White House.
