RainTree Oncology Expands Management As Strategic Vision For Community Oncology Unfolds
SAN DIEGO, Sept. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- RT Oncology Services Corporation today announced that Brian Battey and Scott Skellenger have joined the Company as senior vice president of member services, and vice president and chief information officer, respectively. Both bring expertise aligned with the Company's goal of revolutionizing community oncology practice performance and patient care.

Battey will oversee member-collaborator relationships, including the recently announced collaboration agreement with Life Technologies Corporation and additional relationships in process. He will be responsible for the maximization of value to members. His more than 25 years of diverse healthcare experience in large companies, as well as start up ventures, includes work with payers, pharmaceuticals, capital equipment, information technology and both specialty and hospital group purchasing organizations.
Most recently, Battey served as senior vice president strategy and operations for Aetna Accountable Care Solutions. He previously held positions at GE Healthcare, US Oncology and International Oncology Network, a division of AmerisourceBergen Corporation.
Skellenger, who will lead the expansion of the Company's aggregated data capabilities, has held information technology leadership roles in several premiere health and life science companies. During his career, Skellenger has progressively adopted new technologies and has held various technical and leadership positions in information services ranging from mergers and acquisitions integration to infrastructure operations to strategic planning and architecture.
Previously, Skellenger has led global information technology and information service functions for both Amgen, and Illumina, Inc. At Illumina, he provided key vision and leadership in the development of commercial information technology solutions aimed at simplifying the computational needs of production-scale genomic sequencing.
