MIAMI, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The U-Haul Company of Miami today announced the promotion of Rainel Gonzalez to president. Gonzalez brings more than 15 years of U-Haul experience to his new position, where he will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company, including truck, trailer and storage rentals.

Gonzalez began his U-Haul career in February 1993 as a dispatching and receiving (D&R) technician for the Hialeah U-Haul Center. In August 1993, Gonzalez became a customer service representative (CSR). In March 1998, Gonzalez was promoted to general manager (GM) of the center, and went on to become senior manager for U-Haul Company of Miami in July 1999. In July 2003, Gonzalez became field relief manager (FRM) for U-Haul Company of Miami, the position he held until being named MCP. Gonzalez has proven leadership skills which will drive his team to success.

Gonzalez will focus on increasing profits by following established policies and procedures, and plans to work hand in hand with management to challenge and motivate U-Haul Company of Miami team members to reach set goals. In assuming his role as president, Gonzalez is most excited about the opportunity to work with an experienced, knowledgeable team that understands positive attitudes certainly will move the company in the right direction.
