Rael supports China's call for a de-Americanized world
LAS VEGAS, Oct. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- After China's official news agency called for a "de-Americanized world," and referred to the United States as "a hypocritical nation with a dysfunctional government," Rael, leader of the International Raelian Movement (IRM), issued his support for China's position in a statement released today by the IRM.
"I totally support de-Americanization," he said. "China should lead ex-victims of Euro-American colonialism and imperialism in this movement. It should create an alliance that includes all past victims."
Rael said a new alliance, an organization that would group China, India, and Russia with all Arabic, African and Latin American countries, should replace "the puppet United Nations" and the International Court of Justice.
"[Such an alliance] would be impossible to attack by the Euro-American imperialists masquerading behind NATO, which is what they usually do when any country dares to question their domination," he explained. "It's time for the descendants of the colonialist, enslaver criminals to really pay for their past crimes. The new alliance of ex-colonies should be both military and economic, and it should refuse to recognize the authority of the [so-called] International Court of Justice, which is another puppet of the West."
The new organization should first address the wrongs wrought by Western colonialists, according to Rael.
"Its first action should be to declare all past colonization crimes against humanity," he said in his statement. "It should then ask the guilty nations to pay huge damages to their ex-colonies, damages totaling at least the equivalent of the amounts pillaged from them, plus interest for the centuries that the stolen wealth was used."
Rael said very few countries are guilty of what he called "the crime of colonialism."
"There are only 6: France, England, Spain, Belgium, Portugal and Holland," he said. "These countries should be forced to immediately return all the stolen cultural artifacts and works of art that they show in their museums as symbols of past pillaging and domination. I am very pleased to see that 14 Caribbean countries are now demanding hundreds of billions of pounds in reparations for slavery from Britain, France and the Netherlands."
Some of Rael's comments were specifically directed to Spain.
"The hundreds of tons of gold and silver pillaged by Spain in South America should be given back or paid for in full, along with an additional amount for damages, to all descendants of Incas and other native South American victims of the Spanish genocide," he explained.
"Only when all these things are done can the world claim to be fair and treating all nations and races equally," he said. "It can then be united in a new international organization that would replace the United Nations."
Even then, additional changes would need to be made before this new worldwide entity could be just and effective, according to Rael.
"In the new organization, the vote of each member should be proportional to the number of its citizens," he said. "This would end the present farce, in which one tiny country, such as Liechtenstein with its less than 35,000 citizens, has the same voting power as China with its 1.4 billion."
And an organization truly representative of the world's population should use a non-Christian calendar, something Rael has advocated for years.
"[Replacing the Christian calendar] would end another farce," Rael said. "Christians make up only 2 billion of the total world population of more than 7 billion people. Although the United Nations supposedly represents all of humanity, it is still using the calendar of this Christian minority. This is another example of the imperialist, colonialist tradition that considers the Christian portion of the world superior to others."
