Radware's DefensePro® Earns Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 4+
Independent Testing Affirms the Security Solution is Verified to Meet Industry Standards
MAHWAH, New Jersey, June 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Radware (NASDAQ: RDWR), a leading provider of application delivery and application security solutions for virtual and cloud data centers, today announced that its DefensePro® family of denial of service (DoS) protection and intrusion prevention service (IPS) has earned the Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 4+ certification issued by the Communications Security Establishment Canada.
Common Criteria certification verifies that a product has passed rigorous independent testing encompassing all life-cycle aspects and security assertions starting with specification and ending with testing. It assures the product conforms to the International Standards Organization standards (ISO/IEC 15408). Common Criteria validation is carried and managed by an independent evaluation firm and is recognized worldwide in over 20 countries including the United States, Canada, Korea, Australia, and many countries in Europe.
"The Common Criteria certification EAL 4+ provides users of security solutions with the confidence that the products and services they employ to protect their IT operations were rigorously tested and independently verified to meet industry standards," said Ziv Ichilov, DefensePro Product Manager, Radware. "We are very pleased to attain this certification, which is further proof of Radware's commitment to deliver the most advanced data center security solutions in the market today."
DefensePro is a key component of Radware's Attack Mitigation System (AMS) that protects IT infrastructure and services against network and application downtime, application vulnerability exploitation and malware proliferation using various inspection and analysis modules. These modules continuously monitor traffic, providing protection against a wide range of cyber attacks such as DoS, scanning and cracking protection, as well as capabilities that include IPS, and Network Behavioral Analysis (NBA) to fully safeguard networks, servers and applications against known and emerging network security threats.
