According to IDC, public cloud spending will grow at a 19.4 percent compound annual growth rate from nearly $70 billion in 2015 to more than $141 billion in 2019 with two-thirds of the spend going into Software as a Service. As more companies leverage the cloud to drive their business, they expect a commensurate level of security from their service providers with their sensitive information.
"As a trusted technology partner to many companies including those in the Fortune 500 and in highly regulated industries, we understand that security must start with us," said Pablo Stern, CTO at Radius. "Our SOC 2 Type I certification and addition to the CSA Security, Trust & Assurance Registry are driven by our security-first mindset. Our customers entrust their data to Radius, knowing we are committed to security best practices and transparency across our organization and products."
Radius' SOC 2 Type I certification is based on the Trust Services Principle and comes after a thorough review of Radius' internal systems and controls by an independent third party. The review examined Radius' system's effects on security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy. The certification confirms Radius' internal controls meet the requirements for the security criteria established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
The addition of Radius to the CSA registry will allow the company's current and prospective customers to review Radius' security practices through its Consensus Assessments Initiative Questionnaire, speeding up customers' due diligence process and enabling higher quality procurement experiences.
