RadioShack Corporation Reviews 2009 Financial and Operational Progress at Company's Annual Shareholders' Meeting
-Highlights partnership with LIVESTRONG to include exclusive products available in-store beginning in July-
FORT WORTH, Texas, May 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- RadioShack Corporation (NYSE: RSH), a leading national retailer of innovative mobile and technology products, services and accessories, held its annual meeting of shareholders today in Santa Monica, California. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Julian Day reviewed the company's 2009 accomplishments and outlined strategies for future growth and improvement.
In his remarks to shareholders, Mr. Day stated, "In 2009, we made great strides in delivering on our top priorities to strengthen our financial position and enhance the quality of our operations. In turn, our improved financial and operational performance has allowed us to focus our resources on revitalizing and contemporizing our brand, and positioned us to achieve continued success in our mobility, innovation, and service strategies.

At the meeting, Mr. Day announced the Company's expanded partnership with Lance Armstrong and his foundation, LIVESTRONG, which fights to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. The Company will introduce exclusive LIVESTRONG-branded products and accessories in all stores beginning in July.
Also during the meeting, Company shareholders elected seven directors to serve until the annual meeting of shareholders in May 2011. The elected directors were Frank Belatti, managing partner, Equicorp Partners, LLC.; Daniel Feehan, president and CEO, Cash America International; H. Eugene Lockhart, partner, Diamond Castle Holdings; Jack Messman, private equity investor and consultant; Thomas Plaskett, chairman, Fox Run Capital Associates; Edwina Woodbury, president and CEO, The Chapel Hill Press, Inc.; and Julian Day.
In addition, company stockholders approved the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers to serve as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for the 2010 fiscal year.
