'Radical Islam' Author Reflects as 9/11 Observance Nears
DALLAS, Aug. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The author of "Radical Islam: What You Need to Know," cultural apologist Dr. Jim Denison, is available to discuss the continued threat of Muslim extremism -- and faith-based insights about and responses to it -- in interviews and guest articles as the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks approaches.
James C. Denison, Ph.D., founder of the Denison Forum on Truth and Culture (DFTC), is building a bridge between faith and contemporary culture by engaging it with historical, scientific, moral and biblical truth. His new book is a primer on radical Islam, which he describes as "the greatest threat our children have ever faced."
"Ten years later, even with the death of Osama bin Laden, the Muslim extremist threat against the West is greater and even more dangerous than before," Denison says. "Their view of all Westerners as complicit in crimes against Islam since the Crusades has not changed.
"What Americans need to know is that there are a number of key historical and spiritual insights into understanding the true heart of radical Islam, and how we are to respond based on them."
"Radical Islam" is the first in the "Unlocking the Truth" series of books offering a spiritual perspective on key cultural issues facing America. Denison is also the author of six books, including "Wrestling with God: How Can I Love a God I'm Not Sure I Can Trust?" by Tyndale House Publishers.
Denison's daily cultural commentary is made available worldwide to thousands of subscribers. His faith perspective sheds light on topics ranging from same-sex marriage to bioethics to the recent Norwegian terror attacks. Denison also is available to discuss these and a wide selection of other timely topics.
