Rachel Le Mieux Joins Ryan as Principal; Will Provide Additional Leadership in the Firm's Seattle, Washington Office

DALLAS, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Ryan, the leading tax services firm in North America, with the largest transaction tax practice in the United States and Canada, today announced that Rachel Le Mieux has joined the Firm as a Principal based in their Seattle, Washington office.  Ms. Le Mieux will provide in-depth sales and use tax, as well as gross receipts tax expertise to support Ryan's rapidly expanding portfolio of premier Fortune 1000 clients operating in the Northwest region of the United States.

Ms. Le Mieux is a recognized Northwestern state and local tax expert who frequently presents to industry groups such as the Washington and Oregon State Societies of CPAs on legislation related to Washington state taxes.  She also regularly works with the Washington State Department of Revenue stakeholder process to review issues of importance for various industries regarding the administration of excise tax law.

Over the past 25 years, Ms. Le Mieux has represented Fortune 1000 companies across multiple industries and jurisdictions, focusing on gross receipts tax, sales and use tax, property tax, and multistate income and franchise tax services. Prior to joining Ryan, Ms. Le Mieux was a Partner and the Northwest State and Local Tax Practice Leader for a large accounting and business consulting firm.  Prior to entering public accounting and consulting, Ms. Le Mieux also served as a Legislation and Policy Specialist for the State of Washington Department of Revenue.  Ms. Le Mieux is a Certified Public Accountant and has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Western Washington University.
