First Bollywood Movie to be Released With Dolby Atmos
Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB) today announced that the highly anticipated action thriller Race 2 will release with Dolby® Atmos™ in select theatres on January 25, 2013. Dolby Atmos will deliver a more natural and realistic soundfield to Race 2, moving sound around and above cinema audiences, transporting them into the onscreen adventure.

Directed by Abbas-Mustan , the film stars Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Ameesha Patel. The sound designer for the movie is Rakesh Ranjan, and the movie has been mixed by Leslie Fernandes. Race 2 will introduce audiences to one of the most magical and immersive sound formats ever conceived.

European productions Lost Place, Mama, and Trance have been released or are scheduled to be mixed in Dolby Atmos.
