"Rabbit is creating a new paradigm for online social interactions, transforming the way people communicate. Our SDK allows content owners to enable communities of any size to interact as they would face-to-face," said Michael Temkin, CEO of Rabbit. "Rabbit is the only platform that can deliver an amazing live social experience for groups of any size."
Temkin's prior experience includes serving as Co-founder and CEO of Augniscient, a machine-learning technology company, and CTO and EVP of Operations at Hands-On Mobile. Prior to that, he led efforts at Yahoo! to create integrated experiences for cross-platform content, applications and communities. He also served as the GM of the Innovation Lab at Academic Partnerships, an educational technology company bringing public university degree programs online.
The technology and beta program will be unveiled at the TVOT Conference on Wednesday, December 11 by Rabbit's president and co-founder, Nicholas Reichenbach. "Our web tool kit [SDK] is perfect for social TV applications and web properties. Now, for the first time, you can watch TV, VOD and other video content together with your friends and even meet new people, live online. The live music events we did over the past few months are great testimonies to this advanced social viewing experience using the Rabbit platform."
The developer beta program will give access to the company's platform via an SDK that will provide a real-time social layer for the web, enabling face-to-face interactions in groups of any size.
