CARLSBAD, Calif. and NEW YORK, June 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ra Medical Systems, makers of excimer lasers and catheters for cardiovascular and dermatological diseases, announced today that the Company has retained KCSA Strategic Communications (KCSA), a leading New York-based communications firm, to create a comprehensive, strategic communications campaign to increase awareness of Ra Medical Systems and help to communicate its broader vision to the marketplace and investment community. Ra Medical Systems recently announced the FDA market clearance and commercialization of its revolutionary DABRA™ System for the treatment of Peripheral Artery Disease.
With extensive experience in helping to build brands in the healthcare sector, including medical devices, healthcare services and biotechnology, KCSA will work with Ra Medical Systems' management team to develop programs that will enable the Company to differentiate itself from the competition, showcase its leadership position, focus on innovation and launch new products. "With the recent FDA market clearance and commercialization of DABRA, having a communications program in place to tell the Ra Medical Systems story to the medical and investment community is of the utmost importance," said Dean Irwrin, CEO, Ra Medical Systems. "The implementation of a comprehensive and strategic communications program will highlight our core strengths and demonstrate what differentiates us from the other players in the market. Most importantly, strong communications will enable our corporate vision to shine, ultimately maximizing shareholder value. Working with KCSA, one of the few integrated PR and IR firms in the country with vast healthcare industry experience, is a perfect fit for Ra Medical Systems as a result."
"In helping to build Ra Medical Systems' future, we know how vital it is that we craft and deliver the right messages that are unique to each stakeholder," added Goldberg. "Based on our experience in working with dozens of healthcare companies over the years, we believe that KCSA is the right firm to help tell Ra Medical Systems' story, and we look forward to capitalizing on our deep media relationships in this sector as the Company brings DABRA to even more doctors and patients around the country. This is all about providing patients with the most advanced, innovative technology that is better, safer, faster and less-expensive, compared to current treatments for Peripheral Artery Disease, the leading cause of limb amputations."
