COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., July 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- R9B (root9B, LLC), a leading provider of advanced cybersecurity products, services, and training announced today that it was awarded a prime contract from the Mission and Installation Contracting Command – Fort Gordon, for development and delivery of advanced cybersecurity training onsite at Fort Gordon, GA. The competitively-awarded, firm fixed-price contract is composed of a single year and option year period of performance, with the initial class commencing in 2018.
Under the contract, R9B will provide instruction consisting of a seven (7) week block of offensive cyber operations (OCO) and defensive cyber operations (DCO) training to three 170A Warrant Officer Advanced Course (WOAC) classes. Training will enable students to perform cyberspace-related intelligence gathering & reconnaissance, projection of power through the preparation, and execution of OCO and DCO cyberspace activities.
The goal of the WOAC is to train an effective workforce for the Army Cyber Mission Forces (CMF). R9B instructors will provide an innovative, diverse learning environment that supports active and reserve forces with the training and education infrastructure that provides the foundation for more effective operations in the cyber warfare domain.
