What's a #COMFDAY, you ask? It's a day fully dedicated to comfort. A day where you wear things that make you comfortable, do things that make you comfortable, and avoid anything that doesn't make you feel cozy and great. And as "hygge" (pron: hoo-gah) is the Danish concept of coziness and conviviality that brings about a warm, indescribably pleasant feeling, International Hygge Day is the perfect moment to call for a #COMFDAY.
"It is not hard to see that staying in and celebrating the comfiest holiday of the year beats the alternative, especially considering the intense winter weather most of the country has experienced this year," said Charles Ekenga, Senior Brand Building Manager for Quilted Northern. To introduce #COMFDAY to the world, Quilted Northern partnered with independent creative agency Mekanism, their in-house social media agency Epic Signal, and comedian/Instagram star Renny to create humorous social videos.
"There can be so much social media pressure for people to go outside and do things. But this pressure is also causing millennial behavior to shift, from FOMO to JOMO (Joy Of Missing Out)," said Mekanism Creative Director, Todd Feitlin. "So we created a fun campaign that encourages people to stay inside, relax and enjoy the best that comfort has to offer."
