Analyst Update: Quarterly Results, Dispute Settlement, Appointment, Product Launch, and Welfare Initiatives

The Wall Street witnessed fourth consecutive session of gains on Thursday as the European Central Bank (ECB) announced its much-anticipated bond-buying program aimed at reviving the Euro zone economy. The ECB announced that it will buy €60 million worth of bonds every month in a program which will last through September 2016. Cheering the ECB's move, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite indices closed the day up 1.53% and 1.78%, respectively, and also turned positive for the year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the session higher by 1.48%. Shares in Europe also continued the rally on Thursday, posting the biggest six-day gain in over three years. The Stoxx Europe 600 index jumped 1.7% to close at its highest level in over seven years. In Asia, markets mostly ended flat as investors awaited the outcome of the ECB meeting.
Quanex Building Products Corporation (Quanex) swung to profits both in the fourth quarter and full year fiscal 2014. During the quarter, the Company reported income from continuing operations of $3.0 million, or $0.08 per diluted share, compared to loss from continuing operations of $5.5 million, or $0.15 loss per diluted share, in the year ago period.
Quanta Services, Inc.'s (Quanta) subsidiary PAR Electrical Contractors, Inc. (PAR) has resolved an outstanding change order dispute with San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E) - a subsidiary of Sempra Energy. As per the agreement, PAR will receive a cash payment of $65 million from SDG&E as compensation for the entire unpaid portion of its costs incurred on the project.
Raytheon Company (Raytheon) announced the appointment of Frank R. Jimenez as General Counsel for the Company, effective January 19, 2015. Jimenez succeeds Jay B. Stephens, who is retiring from Raytheon on March 31 after serving 12 years as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
Rockwell Automation, Inc. (Rockwell Automation) announced the release of new Allen‑Bradley PanelView Plus 7 Standard graphic terminal, offering new options in the size, functionality and connectivity of the graphic terminals, to machine builders. The terminals are available in five screen sizes, including widescreen options.
Rockwell Collins, Inc. (Rockwell Collins) announced that it is seeking proposals for its 2015 Green Communities grant program. Under this program, Rockwell Collins will provide funding to the non-profit organizations for their environmental projects in communities where the Company operates around the world.
